Ceramics is a classic favorite in my classes. This year students advanced their skills in clay building. They began with simple techniques like pinch pots and coil building and graduated to more advanced methods like slab building and adding texture. The final ceramics project was to create "monster mugs", wherein students planned and built a monster on a mug. Pottery 2 students graduated to wheel throwing.
