Tri-State DisAbility Art Show 2023
#TogetherWeCreate2023
The Tri-State DisAbility Art Show is an inclusive event celebrating the talents and experiences of young artists in K-12 who are from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware and who have either an IEP or 504 plan. Participation is entirely free and open to students in public and private schools in the tri-state area.
In 2022 students from all over the tri-state attended in-person on the campus of Y.A.L.E. School Ellisburg Campus. An awards presentation was held as awards were delivered to young artists by community organizations such as the Penn Museum at the University of Pennsylvania, Perkins Center for the Arts, Art Educators of New Jersey, and the Pennsylvania Art Education Association. Also in attendance at the event were art education majors from Rowan University with the National Art Education Association Student Chapter, and Arts Ed NJ. Our community partners hosted craft tables at the opening reception around the gallery. The following Saturday morning, the art show was open to the public for more informal gallery hours.
